The area

Casa Desiré is located in Ciutat Vella, Valencia’s historic center full of tourist attractions. The apartment overlooks Mercado Central, Europe’s largest covered market hall. The old silk fair La Lonja de la Seda, the cathedral, beautiful squares, and many restaurants and traditional shops are within walking distance.

There is a Carrefour Express supermarket at a 140m distance and a larger Consum supermarket at a 500m distance. Many bike rental stores are nearby, including right next to the apartment.

Other iconic highlights in the city include the large Turia Park in the old riverbed, the City of Arts and Sciences with its futuristic buildings, the beautiful beaches, and the promenade. All these places are easily accessible by bicycle, scooter, or public transportation.

How to get to Casa Desiré

From the airport

From the airport, you can take metro line 3 (red) or line 5 (green) to metro station Xàtiva, which takes 20 minutes. A ticket costs €5,80 and from the metro station, it is a 9-minute walk (700 m) to the apartment.

You can also take a cab in front of terminal 1, which will take you to the apartment in 15-20 minutes for around €20-€25 depending on the traffic.

From the train station

If you arrive at the Joaquín Sorolla AVE train station, it is a 21-minute walk (1,6 km) to the apartment. A cab from this train station takes about 8 minutes and the estimated costs are about €7.

If you arrive at the train station Estación del Norte, it is only a 9-minute walk (700 m) to the apartment. You can also take a cab, which takes about 7 minutes and the cost is about €6.

By car or taxi

The historical centre in which Casa Desiré is located is a car-free zone. If you get to Valencia by car, then the closest and most convenient public parking garage is the one below Mercado Central less than 200 meters from the apartment. Parking in that garage costs about €24 per day.

Taxi’s are allowed to come near to the apartment.
